Dr. Badaan founded the Center for Specialized Psychology to meet the unique and individualized needs of women and children exposed to trauma. She is a licensed clinical psychologist in the states of New Jersey, New York, Florida and Vermont. Dr. Badaan specializes in working with women who have been negatively impacted by domestic violence, childhood abuse, and reproductive/female issues. She is an expert in trauma therapy and incorporates various techniques from CBT, DBT, ACT, and Prolonged Exposure, to meet the individualized needs of her patients. Dr. Badaan helps her patients process and heal from adverse life circumstances and gain insight into how past experiences impact current behavioral and emotional functioning. The most common treatment outcome for her patients consists of self-empowerment, strength & stability.
Dr. Badaan attained her M.S. and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University, where she had the privilege of being trained by experts in the fields of trauma and domestic violence. She also has a background in Forensic Psychology and obtained her B.A. and M.A. in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Badaan is an Adjunct Professor for the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at Nova Southeastern University. She currently teaches the Child Maltreatment and Trauma Assessment and Intervention online graduate course, for those students interested in taking on a speciality in the treatment of trauma. Dr. Badaan is also a contracted evaluator for the NJ Department of Children and Families, Division of Child Protection and Permanency.
Jasmine Santiago is a Board Certified Bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of New Jersey. She obtained her Master's of Education in Professional Counseling from William Paterson University with a concentration in Mental Health Counseling and Substance Abuse. Currently, Jasmine is pursuing her Ph.D. in Counseling at Montclair State University.
As an LPC, Jasmine provides individual, couples and family therapy in English and Spanish. She treats adolescents, young adults and golden age clientele, who struggle with general life stressors, anxiety, depression, mood disturbances, substance abuse problems, and trauma. Jasmine utilizes a culturally responsive and solution focused approach to encourage client progress through their stages of change.
Aside from her clinical work, Jasmine is an Adjunct Professor at William Paterson University. She also facilitates and supervises group counseling services at Montclair State University.
Megan Burgoyne is a Board Certified Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of New Jersey. She obtained her Master's of Arts in Counseling from Kean University with a concentration in School Counseling. She is also a certified Student Assistance Counselor.
Megan specializes in working with adolescents and young adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, developmental disorders, and trauma. She uses a Person Centered approach with aspects of Mindfulness and CBT to meet the unique needs of her patients. Through her work as an LPC, Megan assists her patients in exploring the influence of current thinking patterns on their emotional and behavioral functioning. Her goal is to facilitate personal growth within her patients, to assist in building self-esteem and improving their overall quality of life.
Irene Hernandez-Kearns is a Board Certified Bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of New Jersey. She obtained her Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Caldwell University.
Irene provides individual and family therapy in English and Spanish. She treats adolescents and adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, mood disorders and general life stressors. Irene has worked with patients at various levels of care, including outpatient, residential and in-home. Her primary treatment approach is CBT, although she incorporates techniques from other treatment modalities based on the individualized needs of each unique patient. Irene prioritizes helping patients recognize their utmost treatment goals and assists them in reaching these goals through gaining insight into behavior and acquiring relevant life skills.
Katie Solman is a Licensed Associate Counselor in the state of New Jersey. She is currently working towards obtaining her Licensed Professional Counselor credentials, and is the under supervision of an LPC. Katie completed her Master’s of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University. During her undergraduate training at Bates College, Katie also majored in Psychology, with a concentration in Religious Studies.
Katie provides individual, couples and family therapy to adolescents and adults. She has been trained in both CBT and DBT treatment modalities, and has worked with patients at various levels of care, including outpatient, inpatient and residential. Katherine specializes in the treatment of eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and trauma. She uses a person-centered, integrative approach, combining evidence-based treatment and holistic modalities. Most important to Katie is the therapeutic relationship. She views this as an essential facet to a successful healing process, and she seeks to create an alliance with each patient that is based on empathy, trust and genuineness.
Taylor Pini is a Licensed Associate Counselor in the state of New Jersey. She is also a National Certified Counselor. Taylor is currently working towards obtaining her Licensed Professional Counselor credentials, and is under the supervision of an LPC. Taylor completed her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Montclair State University. During her undergraduate training at Muhlenberg College, Taylor also majored in Psychology, with a minor in Public Health.

She has worked with patients at various levels of care, including intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization and residential treatment. Taylor specializes in the treatment of eating disorders, anxiety, depression, mood disorders and general life stressors. While her primary treatment approach is CBT, she also incorporates techniques from other treatment modalities based on patients' individual needs, interests, and personality. Taylor prioritizes helping patients explore the impact their current thoughts have on their emotions and behaviors. Her goal is to provide patients a safe and supportive environment to share their thoughts, beliefs and attitudes in order to grow and improve their overall quality of life.
