Dr. Badaan is a licensed clinical psychologist in the states of New Jersey, New York, Florida and Vermont. She founded the Center for Specialized Psychology to meet the unique and individualized needs of women and children exposed to trauma. Dr. Badaan specializes in working with women who have been negatively impacted by domestic violence, childhood abuse, and reproductive/female issues. She is an expert in trauma therapy and incorporates various techniques from CBT, DBT, ACT, and Prolonged Exposure, to meet the individualized needs of her patients. Dr. Badaan helps her patients process and heal from adverse life circumstances and gain insight into how past experiences impact current behavioral and emotional functioning. The most common treatment outcome for her patients consists of self-empowerment, strength & stability.
Dr. Badaan attained her M.S. and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University, where she had the privilege of being trained by experts in the fields of trauma and domestic violence. She also has a background in Forensic Psychology and obtained her B.A. and M.A. in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Badaan is an Adjunct Professor for the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at Nova Southeastern University. She currently teaches the Child Maltreatment and Trauma Assessment and Intervention online graduate course, for those students interested in taking on a speciality in the treatment of trauma.
Jasmine Santiago is a Board Certified Bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of New Jersey. She obtained her Master's of Education in Professional Counseling from William Paterson University with a concentration in Mental Health Counseling and Substance Abuse. Currently, Jasmine is pursuing her Ph.D. in Counseling at Montclair State University.
As an LPC, Jasmine provides individual, couples and family therapy in English and Spanish. She treats adolescents, young adults and golden age clientele, who struggle with general life stressors, anxiety, depression, mood disturbances, substance abuse problems, and trauma. Jasmine utilizes a culturally responsive and solution focused approach to encourage client progress through their stages of change.
Aside from her clinical work, Jasmine is an Adjunct Professor at William Paterson University. She also facilitates and supervises group counseling services at Montclair State University.
Mary Perleoni, Ph.D., is a Licensed Associate Counselor in the states of New Jersey and Florida. She attained her Ph.D. in Counselor Education from the University of Central Florida, specializing in trauma informed therapy. Dr. Perleoni is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), where the goal of treatment is not to dismiss one’s traumatic experience, but help patients learn to live with what happened in the healthiest way possible. While Dr. Perleoni works with patients of all ages, she specializes in treating children and adolescence through play therapy, mindfulness coaching and skill building approaches. In addition, she offers couples counseling and marriage and family therapy. Dr. Perleoni believes in a collaborative therapeutic relationship and implements a strengths-based approach to helping her patients live a fulfilling life.
Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Perleoni teaches graduate courses in counseling.
