Angela Gallina is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in the state of New Jersey. She obtained her Bachelors in Social Work from Syracuse University with a Minor in Music Performance. The following year, she received her Masters of Social Work from Columbia University with a specialization in Family, Youth, and Children Services.
Angela specializes in working with children, adolescents, and young adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities, behavior difficulties, low motivation/school related issues, anxiety, depression and trauma. She has experience treating individuals in an array of therapeutic settings including secondary school, post secondary education settings, in-home therapy, and respite centers.
Her primary treatment approaches include Person Centered Therapy, CBT, and Play Therapy. She also incorporates techniques from other treatment modalities including,
but not limited to, Strengths Perspective, DBT, and Mindfulness. Angela’s therapeutic style is empathetic, genuine, light-hearted, and open-minded. Angela’s objective is to create meaningful therapeutic relationships with her patients. She wishes to empower and support her patients to recognize their strengths and develop their voice to improve their overall quality of life.
