The goal of family therapy is to improve familial conflict and help family members find new, healthy, ways to work together. We focus on helping our patients improve communication, learn problem solving skills and increase mutual understanding among all family members.
Couples therapy is focused on helping couples better understand one another, communicate in a healthier manner, and improve emotional connectivity. We do not take sides or tell couples what they should do, rather we work more as mediators, guiding couples in conversation and assisting in clarification of intentions and behaviors.
