Gabriell Charschan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of New Jersey and Florida. Gabriell received her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Quinnipiac University, followed by her Master’s degree in Social Work from Rutgers University. She also holds an additional certification in school social work.
Gabriell provides therapy services to children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. She helps her patients manage anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, behavioral difficulties, adjustment-related issues, difficult life experiences, relationships, and trauma. Gabriell has a keen interest in working with young adults and adults. Together, Gabriell guides her clients towards understanding underlying issues and how these issues are impacting their life.
Gabriell encourages a safe, authentic, and accepting environment, while promoting a collaborative process with her patients. Gabriell tends to implement a person-centered approach, consistently meeting the needs of each patient in a nonjudgmental, supportive way. She designs her sessions using theoretical approaches such as a strengths-based outlook, mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques, and a trauma-informed perspective.
Gabriell is a firm believer that growth rarely happens within your comfort zone. She helps her patients by providing an empathetic environment where they are able to challenge themselves in order to work towards their identified goals.
In addition, Gabriell has extensive experience working with children and their families as a mental health clinician in the school setting. Prior to working in private practice, she has worked as one of the lead therapists on a child and adolescent inpatient unit at Summit Oaks Hospital.
Moreover, Gabriell provides clinical supervision to practicum students and master's level interns at CSP.
