Jennifer Healy is a graduate counseling intern, pursuing her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Northwestern University. She has completed all prerequisite coursework and clinical practicum training and is currently completing her internship hours under the supervision of a Licensed Professional Counselor at CSP. Jennifer also holds a BFA in Theatre from Adelphi University.
Jennifer provides individual therapy services to adolescents and adults. She specializes in working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, and life cycle transitions. Jennifer also has a keen interest in working with women during the perinatal period of motherhood. Jennifer takes an integrative psychodynamic approach, and tailors treatment to each individual client depending on their needs and goals.
Jennifer is also proud to be a certified Prepare/Enrich Facilitator. Prepare/Enrich deepens the bond a couple has with a personalized snapshot of their relationship. Over 4,000,000 couples have prepared for marriage or enriched their relationship through taking the Prepare/Enrich assessment and working with a Certified Facilitator. The assessment itself has been proven to improve relationship satisfaction; however, there is something special about the relationship a Facilitator develops with a couple that truly helps the couple grow more than they would on their own.
Jennifer believes that to bare one’s soul through therapy is a vulnerable act that leads us into communion with parts of ourselves we may have never met before. And after that introduction, we can become acquainted and heal.
